BRICS Melody
BRICS Melody is a flagship international initiative promoting traditional musical heritage from BRICS+ nations through contemporary interpretations. It fosters cultural dialogue, youth collaboration, and creative industries cooperation across Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and partner countries (UAE, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, and others).
Journey
- Hosted in Ulyanovsk, Russia (October 2024)
- Featured ~50 musicians from 8+ BRICS countries
- 25+ traditional instruments showcased (sitar, tabla, oud, guzheng, mbira, krar, etc.)
- Included concerts, masterclasses, lectures, and the recording of the first international collaborative album
- Organized by the Ulyanovsk Regional Branch of the Russian Youth Union with support from the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives
Under India’s BRICS Presidency, the project expanded into a multi-stage global program:
- Ulyanovsk: Creative laboratory and album recording
- Moscow (April 24–25, 2026): High-level Business Forum + Grand Festival at the National Centre RUSSIA, featuring ~50 musicians and a major concert on April 25
- India: Further promotion of cultural exchange
Vision & Aspirations
To become a leading platform for cultural diplomacy, preserve musical traditions, build sustainable international partnerships, and strengthen people-to-people ties. The project aligns perfectly with BRICS Youth initiatives and is supported at the highest levels, opening doors for collaborative funding (including via the Russian Presidential Fund).
